On Your Marks, Get Set, GO!!! This past summer I got an awesome game called Midtown Madness (Chicago Edition). You can race in several different categories: you can take a cruise, Race, Quick Race, Check Point, etc. You can pick the following race cars: Volkswagen New Beetle, Semi, Cadillac Eldorado, Ford F-350 (I think it is the best), Police Car, City Bus, Mustang GT, Panoz AIV Roadster and several others. It has several building you might know, including Wrigley Field, Hancock, Meigs Field, Soldier Field and the Shedd Aquarium. My family also enjoyed this game. My little sister, Kali, said, its one of the best games in the world. "I would play it for five hours a day if I had the chance." Cody, my little brother, said, "Its awesome! I want to play it all day." Well I have to go. Cody wants to play it. See, you need to buy it today. Email The Charger about this review.
Santana's Supernatural has that special Spanish groove In keeping with the "Latin Explosion" that is sweeping across the United States this summer, this article is devoted to guitar god, Carlos Santana. Carlos Santana was born in Autlan de Nevarro, Jalisco, Mexico. Every song on his CD, Supernatural, shows an authentic Spanish influence.
Carlos Santana has amazing guitar skills. He leads a large band of percussionists, keyboardists, trumpeters, bassists, and many others. Supernatural is packed with great makes-ya-wanna-dance songs. "Smooth" featuring Rob Thomas (of Matchbox 20 fame) is Supernaturals first single. It already receives tons of airtime on MTV, VH1, and the radio. Its catchy lyrics, guitar grooves, and percussion sounds are just dance inducing, and Rob Thomas vocals are very different than anything done on You or Someone like You, Matchbox 20s first CD. "Love of My Life" is a romantic little jewel with a very scratchy sounding Dave Matthews, while "Do You like the Way" a rap by Lauryn Hill and Cee-Lo is powerful, but sounds somewhat forced. Not all songs on the CD are in English. Take "(Da Le) Yaleo" or "Corazon Espinado" for example. But Santanas Spanish sounding guitar solos are so enjoyable it doesnt matter what language its in. Bottom Line: Even if you dont understand Spanish, Santanas Supernatural breaks the language barrier, and even goes beyond that. Rating: A |
